Michael G. Olson

Michael G. Olson, 54 of Marshfield, passed away on October 9, 2020. Born in Milton, he was the son of John E. Olson of Dennis and Dorothy A. Foshay Olson of Marshfield. Michael worked in construction as a skilled union carpenter, and found joy in his work, including lending a hand on countless projects for family, friends, and the community.

Michael leaves behind his two children, Brandon and Tiffany Olson of California; brother Stephen Olson and his wife Stacy of Marshfield, his late sister Cheryl Olson; niece Holly Olson; and many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and special friends.

Mike was always there to lend a hand, swing his hammer, or loan his truck to family or friends.  He had a big heart, booming voice, and hearty laugh that filled whatever room he was in.  He was an avid fan of the Boston Garden teams, but felt most at home in Miami, surrounded by “his people” and fellow Miami Dolphins fans.  He loved the sport of football and played until he was 49 for various semi-professional teams.  

Visitation in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 2 Maquan Street, Corner Route 14 & 58, Hanson, on Sunday from 11-2 PM. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 12 PM at Fern Hill Cemetery, High Street, Hanson.
