Mike Carroll Jr.

Alfred Michael "Mike" Carroll, Jr., 67 of Abington, passed away peacefully at home on February 7, 2017. Born on March 20, 1949, he was the son of the late Alfred Sr. and Arline (McGrath) Carroll. Raised and educated in Hyde Park, he was a graduate of Franklin Institute. Mike had been employed as a heavy truck mechanic for many years. He was proud to have been be an Abington Call Firefighter and EMT working Abington High School Hockey games.He enjoyed hunting and watching baseball.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Jan (Essenheimer) Carroll. Devoted father of A. Michael III  and his wife Caryn of Braintree and Jonathan and his wife Tracey of Athol. Dear brother of Mary of MN, David of Georgetown, Anne Marie Foley of Canton, John of Franklin, and James of NH. Cherished grandfather JJ and Sophie.

Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 45 East Water St, Rockland on Saturday, February 11th from 2-5 PM with a prayer service at 5 PM. All other services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Abington Firefighters Local 2080, in memory of Mike Carroll, PO Box 2080, Abington MA 02351.
