Nicholas “Nick” Lawrence Viviano was granted his angels wings on April 18, 2017, following a long and courageous battle with Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma (EHE) Cancer. Nick’s final days were spent surrounded by his loving family and friends that he had touched in some small way throughout his short, yet very memorable life.
Nick’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His sassy personality and quick wit made everyone that knew him smile no matter how much pain and discomfort the EHE caused him.
Although the EHE made him appear frail, he possessed such strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome insurmountable odds physical challenges. With his courage and strong faith he lead us to believe that each day was a blessing from God and a opportunity to create lasting memories. He loved to spend hours with his family and many friends talking and playing games. Nick enjoyed athletic activities where he excelled at soccer, basketball and football. He also enjoyed playing video games and painting/drawing with his friends.
Nick leaves behind his loving mother and father Alison (Scanlon) Viviano and Lawrence R. Viviano and his devoted sister and best friend Grace K. Viviano. Nick also leaves behind his loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He also leaves behind the wonderful doctors and nurses at Boston Children’s Hospital and the Jimmy Fund. Also, we would be remised if we did not mention Nick loved his devoted dog Finn.
