

Norman O. Vachon, 81 of Carver, passed away on March 18, 2015. Born on November 6, 1933 in Boston, he was the son of the late Norbert and Melanie (Moisan) Vachon. Norman proudly served 8 years with the US National Guard as a Sergeant Tank Mechanic. He was an auto technician for many years, an avid hunter of New England and Canada, an expert archer who put on and competed in shows, and he enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Norman was the beloved husband of the late Jean B. (Hart) Vachon. He is survived by their children James Vachon of Texas, Brian Vachon of MA, William Vachon of MA, and Kevin Vachon of PA. He is also survived by their 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Norman was the loving companion of Rosanna Cormier for 13 years. He is survived by her daughters Kim of MA, Carol of CA, and Rosanna's 4 grandchildren. He was the brother of Albert Vachon of WA, Doris Gorman of VA and the late Noella Hanberry, Romeo Vachon and Ferdinand Vachon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 2 Maquan Street, at the corner Rte of 14 & 58 in HANSON, on Monday from 4-7PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 130 Main Street, Carver MA 02330. Burial to follow at Plymouth County Memorial Cemetery,Plymouth.
