Patricia was born in Boston, the son of Howard Beaver of Dorchester and Mary Beaver (Cashel) of South Boston.
She grew up in Braintree, MA with her two sisters Marjory and Maryanne, and their beloved brother Howie, attending Sacred Heart School in Weymouth.
While working at a Boston accounting firm as a young lady, she was invited by a gentleman in the office to join the Brettl-Hupfers Ski Club in North Conway, New Hampshire, where she made many wonderful friendships and experiences, referring to it fondly as her “college years”. That young man, Chester (Chet) Baker, became the love of her life and husband for 43 years.
Pat and Chet settled in Hanover MA, where they raised their six children.
Pat enjoyed her years as a teacher’s aid at the Cardinal Cushing School, where she made many great friends, loved the students, and was avidly involved with their annual theatrical productions.
She was a longtime parishioner at St. Mary’s in Hanover, and an active participant in the Hanover Senior Center.
Pat enjoyed reading, traveling, films, and going to live theater musicals; a stroll at Castle Island followed by a cup of clam chowder; a nice chat over a hot cup of tea or a cold Frappuccino; and spirited games of Boggle or Checkers.
Most of all, she loved and was so grateful for her family and friends. Pat was a kind, thoughtful, loving, and dedicated wife, mother, grandparent, aunt, and friend. She loved to talk, share stories, laugh, and sing. Her faith in God and love for others were qualities of her life that touched all of those she met.
A Funeral Mass for Patricia will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 27th at St Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St, Rte 139 in Hanover, MA at 9:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Venture Community Services of Sturbridge MA, which provides support to individuals facing diverse challenges, including autism. https://venturecs.org/services/autism-supports/
