Mrs. Patricia M. Herlihy Powers, 69 of Hanson died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Wingate at Silverlake in Kingston after a lengthy illness. The daughter of the late Richard and Edythe Taylor Herlihy she was born in Somerville on January 20, 1941. She was raised and educated in Groton. Mrs. Powers had been employed as a School Bus Driver in Hanson and later had worked at the Hanson Post Office for 15 years. She enjoyed knitting, wildlife, birds, gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Wife of the late Ronald E. Powers, she is survived by 5 children, Kimberly Powers of Mashpee, Cheryl Maly of Abington, Karen Dalton of Hanson, Linda Hotchkiss of Londonderry NH and Ronald W. Powers of Sharon. Also survived by 13 grandchildren. Visitation in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St., at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in HANSON on Monday from 10-11 AM followed by a Graveside Service at Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson.
