Patrick Joseph Moroney

Patrick leaves behind his loving companion, Joyce Salvaggio; his cherished daughter, Lauren Moroney; his brothers, John and Tim Moroney; his sisters, Paula McGuire, Jean McGuire, and Elaine Moroney; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.

For more than 50 years, Patrick worked as a mason and was a proud, longtime member of Bricklayers Union Local No. 3 in Boston, where he built friendships that lasted a lifetime. After retiring, his love of nature and adventure carried him west and north, spending summer seasons working at Wupatki National Monument in Arizona and Acadia National Park in Maine.

Patrick loved to travel, but no place held his heart quite like the Grand Canyon. It was his spiritual home, and he hiked its trails many times over the years. He and Joyce shared countless adventures on the open road, traveling in their camper with their beloved dog, Penny, always by their side.

Patrick was a kind and gentle man — a protector, full of goodness and love, who found his deepest peace in nature and in the miles ahead of him. He would want to be remembered not just for the life he lived, but for all the love he left behind.

The next time you find yourself in a national park, take a moment to think of Patrick.

A Visitation will be held at Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington Street (Route 53), Hanover, MA, on Wednesday, September 9th, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
