Paul Murphy, Jr.

Paul L. Murphy, Jr., of Pembroke, passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 70. Paul was the beloved son of the late Paul L. and Mary (Long) Murphy. Born on January 8, 1955, and raised in Dorchester/Roslindale, Paul was a proud veteran who served his country with the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Piedmont. 

After the Navy, Paul served as a United States Postal Carrier for 35 years, delivering In and around Milton, MA. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and carpentry where he loved “do it yourself” projects. Paul also had a love for baseball where he coached and taught his two sons.

Paul is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Christine (Guerard) Murphy. He was the loving father of Patrick Murphy and his wife Lauren of Wethersfield, CT, and Ryan Murphy and his wife Meaghan of Derry, NH. He was also the dear brother of Ann Legg of Walpole and Jane Murphy of Roslindale. Paul was a cherished grandfather to Connor, Madelyn, Logan, Sean, and Clara.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 21st, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St. (corner of Routes 14 & 58), Hanson.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 22nd, at Holy Apostles Parish (St. Joseph the Worker Church), 1 Maquan St., Hanson, followed by burial at Center Cemetery in Pembroke.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory may be made to St. Jude.
