Peter A. Adams

Peter A. Adams, 87 of Hanover, formerly of Boston, passed away on April 9, 2014. Born in Boston on February 15, 1927, he was the son of the late Theodore and Ellen (Whitty) Adams. Raised and educated in Hanover, Peter later became the owner of Peter Adams Insurance. He loved dancing and mowing the lawn, enjoyed hockey, baseball, and football, and was highly active in youth sports in Hanover. He was also a member at the Hanover Legion and V.F.W. and was active in boating and fishing. Peter proudly served our country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. Peter was the loving father of Peter Adams and his wife Jeanne of Pembroke, Mark Adams and his wife Kathie of Hanover, and William Adams and his wife Marjorie of Hanover. Cherished grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 4. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington St. Rte. 53, HANOVER, on Sunday from 1-4 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St. Rte. 139, Hanover, on Monday at 10 AM. Burial with military honors in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Tuesday at 10:45 AM.
