Peter shared nearly 50 years of marriage with his devoted wife, Judy (Everton) Higginbottom. He was also a proud and loving father to his daughter, Amanda Higginbottom. As a family, they built a life centered on love, family, and the simple joys that meant so much to him.
He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond Higginbottom and Dorothy (Cheetham) Higginbottom, as well as his brother, Paul Higginbottom.
Peter found joy in many hobbies and interests throughout his life. He especially enjoyed woodworking and took pride in creating things with his hands. Caring for his yard and gardens brought him great pleasure and reflected the patience and dedication he brought to all he did. He found happiness in life's quieter moments, like reading in his rocking chair outside, and took pride in making the world around him beautiful.
Though Peter leaves behind a small family, the bond they shared was strong and close. He will be remembered for the love he gave, the memories he created, and the lasting presence he leaves in the hearts of those who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Visiting hours will be at Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St (Rt 53), Hanover on Saturday May 23rd at 11am followed by a funeral home service at 1pm. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter’s memory may be made to North and South Rivers Watershed Association (NSRWA), PO Box 43, Norwell, MA 02061, or Hanover Historical Society, P.O. Box 156, Hanover, MA 02339.
