Richard J. Murad

Richard J. "Turk" Murad, 83 of West Bridgewater, formerly of Easton, passed away on March 26, 2014. Born in New York on November 4, 1930, he was the son of the late James and P. Margaret (Coveny) Murad. Raised and educated in Easton, he was later self-employed and also worked for the Brockton VA as a plumber. He loved to golf, garden, was involved in the Brockton Enterprise Club, an avid Patriots fan, and always found something to do around his house. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Richard was the beloved husband of the late Helen L. (McCarthy) Murad. Loving father of Merleen Sammon and her husband Steve of Hanson, Richard S. Murad and his wife Erin of Hanson, Peter Murad and Ida of Mansfield, James Murad and Leanne of West Bridgewater, and the late Kathleen M. and Danny E. Murad. Richard is also survived by many grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 2 Maquan St. Cor. Rte. 14 & 58, HANSON, on Saturday from 2-5 PM. Burial at a later date.
