Richard Read

Mr. Richard Read, 54, of Ft. Myers FL died Sunday, December 11, 2005 in his home after a short illness. The son of Grace Jolicoeur Read-Berry of Plymouth and the late Francis Read, he was born in Weymouth on September 28, 1951. He was raised and educated in Hingham and served in the Peace Corps. Mr. Read was employed in Florida as a Limousine Driver. He is survived by his former wife, Edna Black Read of Greenland NH, 2 sons, James Read and John Read both of Greenland NH, 1 daughter, Jane Read of Greenland NH, his mother, Grace Jolicoeur Read-Berry of Plymouth, 5 brothers, William Read of Abington, James Read of Hingham, John Read of Weymouth, Andrew Read of Hingham and Joseph Read of Milford, 3 sisters, Frances Alger of Pembroke, Susan Guthrie and Elizabeth Townsend both of Belfast ME. The Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 19, 2005 at 9 AM in the Resurrection Church, 1057 Main Street, Rte 228, Hingham. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Rockland. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water Street in ROCKLAND at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers donations in Richards name may be made to your favorite charity.
