Born and raised in Belmont, Massachusetts, Bob made his home in Hanover, where he spent the past 50 years building a life centered on family, friendship, and the people he loved most.
Bob was the beloved husband of Lorena Greeley and a devoted father to Ryan Hickey and her husband, Edward Hickey, and Shannon Alsheimer and her husband, Matt Alsheimer. He was an incredibly proud grandfather to Haylie, Gavin, Reese, Carter, and Will, all of whom brought immeasurable joy to his life.
He was the cherished son of the late John and Alice Greeley of Belmont and a loving brother to John "Johnny" Greeley and his wife, Maureen, and Gerard Greeley and his wife, Marcia.
Bob was also a beloved son-in-law to William and Hazel O'Leary and a dear brother-in-law to William and Carol O'Leary and Michael and Maureen O'Leary. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
Bob was a former employee of the United States Postal Service. Beyond his career, he embraced the things that brought him the greatest happiness. He loved spending time on the golf course, enthusiastically cheering from the sidelines at his grandchildren's sporting events, and serving as a per diem statistician covering the Frozen Four for NESN. He found great joy playing Santa, bringing laughter, and the magic of the Christmas spirit to so many over the years.
He especially enjoyed reminiscing about the glory days of The Great Pretenders, sharing stories and memories that never failed to bring a smile to those around him.
Above all else, Bob valued his family. He was a steady presence, a proud husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose love and support will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
