Robert is survived by many adoring nieces and nephews and a whole host of wonderful friends.
Robert grew up in Houghs Neck, Quincy where he spent many happy days boating to the nearby islands to hunt and camp with his buddies. After school Bob continued working in the grocery store industry where he thrived as a manager and leader of many young men and women who all loved him. Bob met the love of his life, Rita, while working at the Stop and Shop on the southern artery in Quincy. Bob and Rita married in 1962 at the youthful ages of 18 and 19. They were complete opposites who complimented each other through their strengths and weaknesses, and a whole bunch of love. They were best friends and partners in life. After spending their early married life in Abington and Norwell, they built a home on Larry Ave. in Halifax. Again, the adventurous couple built another home across town on South St., where they made a wonderful life raising six children together. They were able to see their children grow, build lives of their own, get married, and start families. There were many joyful gatherings at their home on South Street celebrating the 4th of July, Christmas, Thanksgiving, weddings, birthdays, and many, many cookouts in the back yard. Bob was a larger-than-life figure who loved to have a great time, which to him, included spending time with family, listening to Elvis, or watching one of his favorite westerns, and especially spending his weekly meet ups with his long time best friend Ronnie Barron.
Robert was a man who was loved and respected by so many people. He loved his Reardon family, all his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. He accepted his sons-in-law Robert Lifrieri and Robert Rodrigues, and daughters-in-law Gay and Maura as his own children and they adored him as a second dad. Bob will be so dearly missed and forever loved.
