Robert E. O'Shaughnessy

Mr. Robert E O'Shaughnessy, 74, of Bonita Springs FL died Monday, November 5, 2007 in the North Collier Hospital in Naples FL after being stricken at home. He was born in Boston on November 1, 1933. Son of the late Martin E. and Malvina Richard Shaughnessy, he was raised and educated in Rockland and was a graduate of Boston University. He retired as the North East Vice President of Sales for the Siemens Medical Supply Company. Mr. O'Shaughnessy served in the Air Force for 4 years during the Korean War He was a former member of the Braintree Golf Club and is a member of the Bonita Bay Country Club. He was a Rockland resident before moving to Bonita Springs in 1989. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Norling O'Shaughnessy, who celebrated 50 years on Marriage on October 12 , 2007, 3 sons, Barry O'Shaughnessy of Yarmouth, Steven O'Shaughnessy of Braintree and Brian O'Shaughnessy of Norfolk VA, 1 daughter, Karen Disher of Braintree, 1 brother, Richard Shaughnessy of Whitman and 5 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late William J. Shaughnessy, Edmund Shaughnessy, Edward Shaughnessy, James Shaughnessy and Eleanor Connors. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 9 AM in Holy Family Church, 403 Union Street in Rockland. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water Street in ROCKLAND on Friday from 4-8 PM.
