Roger lived a long, very exciting and fulfilling life, unfortunately too full to go into detail here. He worked and lived locally on the South Shore but was known and loved by many people all over. He worked later in life as a Commercial Real Estate Developer; however, he was considered the original jack-of-all-trades. He was always helping a family member or friend in need to stay busy. He loved woodworking, the outdoors, and a nice glass of rye whiskey with a good cigar. Above all, he loved being with his friends and family in his wood shop talking and laughing. He was a storyteller for ages and will be graciously celebrated. He is survived by many people who are part of the giant legacy he made.
Among them but not limited to are Deborah (nee, Dunton) and their children Norah (husband Steve Davis, grandchild Eli Jude), Ian (wife Sara, grandchildren Liam and Harlee Rose), and Patricia. Also, Diana Orsogna and their sons Roger and Paul (wife Joanne grandchildren Elena, Joseph and William). Additionally, daughter-in-law Eileen and granddaughter Isabella. In his passing, he gets to see many who went before him. Among them are his son Clifford who passed away in 2025, his mother Suzie and father George, his brothers Jimmy and Jody, and many other special souls. He would have liked to note that he is also survived by his wonderful Scottish Terriers Roscoe and Louie.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Roger’s name to Buddy Dog Humane Society at 151 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, Massachusetts 01776. You can contact them at (978) 443-6990 or visit www.buddydoghs.org/donate.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, June 6 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont St, Duxbury.
