Ronald D. Parsons

Ronald D. Parsons, age 90, died peacefully on July 6, 2022. Born in Newton, MA to the late Doris Bartsch and William Parsons. Ron was the Automobile Service Manager at Weymouth Honda for many years during the sixties and seventies before starting a woodworking business in the early eighties. He lived in Hingham for many years with his late wife Sara before moving to Kingston. They were happily married for 68 years. Ron enjoyed gardening and he could fix anything, usually using only the jackknife that was always in his pocket.

He was a loving father to John (Joan) Parsons of Oro Valley, AZ, the late Nancy Martin, son-in-law Donald of Meredith, NH, Susan Parsons (Wesley Hardin) of Norwell, and Ronald J. Parsons of Marshfield. Grandfather to 6 and great grandfather to 9. Brother to the late William, Robert, and John Parsons; and Audrey Shaw. Survived by sisters Dorcus Unger of Wayland, MA and Suzanne Zipay of Englewood, FL.

Because Ron’s wife Sally passed away during the pandemic in 2020, no service was held for her at the time.  A memorial service for both Ronnie and Sally will be held at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte. 53, Hanover, MA on August 11, 2022, from 9-11am. Interment at Pembroke Center Cemetery will follow immediately after the service.
