Russell L King Jr. 74 of East Bridgewater passed away Saturday July 1, 2023. Russell was born February 14, 1949 and grew up in Hanson. He was the son of the late Russell L King Sr. and the late Marie I King.
Russell is survived by his wife Nancy J. King, his daughters Laurel King and Tracey King. His sister Linda Kelly and her husband Jed, his brother Steven King and his wife Diane, his brother Michael King and their families. His extended family of Lauren and Christopher Butler, Joseph Salemme, Kristi Salemme, Kaulene Cronin and Jacob Araujo. He was the beloved Papa to Caleb Araujo, Austin Mahar, Matteo Salemme, Kiley Araujo and Jonas Araujo.
Russell served his country as a military police officer for the United State Airforce, before returning home and joining the Hanson Police Department. Russell was with the Hanson Police Department for 26 years working his way from Patrolmen, to Sergeant, to Lieutenant, and retired as Chief of Police.
