Stephen G. Harvey

Stephen G. "Steve" Harvey, 74. Of Plympton, MA passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 8, 2024. Formerly of Braintree, MA, he graduated from Braintree High School and UMass Boston. He was a hero to those he grew up with, and proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War where he was stationed in country. He had a long career in Information Technology and was so well liked that he survived countless layoffs and was still working full time for Dell EMC at the time of his death. Steve could master anything he set his mind to from teaching himself programming to carpentry. He lit up a room with his charisma, great personality, and the ability to tell a funny story. He was a loving, protective, and caring person who always focused on the good in people. He was young at heart and loved to golf and spend time with his grandchildren who brought him so much joy.

He is survived by his wife Beth and his children, Adrienne Harvey and fiancé Chris LaChance of Plymouth, MA, Brendan Harvey and his wife Demi of Plymouth, MA, and Alexandra Harvey and her husband Drew Schweppe of Toronto, Canada. He is survived by three grandchildren and twelve nieces and nephews. He is survived by his siblings, Diane Spencer of Plymouth, MA, Ronald Alexander Harvey of Los Angeles, CA, Eileen Harvey of Boston, MA, Doreen Harvey of Braintree, MA, Colleen Delaney and her husband Kevin of Cotuit, MA, Peter Harvey and his wife Ann of Bedford, NH, Paul Harvey and his wife Tricia of Attleboro, MA, Susan McRae of Sudbury, MA and Naples, FL, and Dorothea Sansone and her husband Michael of Plymouth, MA.

Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St, Rte 53 in Hanover on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 10 AM. Burial at Hillcrest Cemetery in Plympton, at a day and time to be announced. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their favorite charity in Steve’s name.
