Stephen H. Scott, 60, passed away at home on September 16, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife, Susan, and their four children, Christopher, Katherine, Taylor, and Michael. He also leaves behind his siblings: James, Michael, Kenneth, Sheila, and Christopher and is predeceased by his brother Ricky and both of his parents. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Stephen was born in Boston on September 3, 1960 to Doreen (Drummey) and James Scott. He grew up in Scituate and had wonderful memories of his life spent there with his siblings, cousins and friends. Most include swimming at Minot Beach, playing hockey on Musquashicut Pond, and getting into trouble on the Hatherly Country Club golf course. Scituate always held a special place in his heart.
Stephen’s career spanned over forty years in the restaurant and hospitality industry. He was recently retired from Longhorn Steakhouse after 16 years of service in his role as Director of Operations. Steve always went above and beyond for his customers and employees, and was known and respected by many in his profession. He received his greatest satisfaction from serving others, and this was evidenced during the many social gatherings with friends and family throughout the years.
Stephen will be remembered as a selfless man who was completely devoted to his wife and children. He lived his life with dignity, honor and compassion.
