Bill was born in Boston on May 10, 1944. He grew up in the Allston-Brighton area before moving to Hanover in 1971 with his loving wife, Judith Vocino Daley, where they raised their family.
He graduated from Don Bosco High School and later attended Wentworth Institute of Technology before pursuing a long career as an electrician for Polaroid and Alkermes, Inc.
He always remained close to his Allston-Brighton roots, particularly his tight-knit group of 10 childhood friends referred to as "the dinner club" whom he gathered with every few months along with their wives.
His real love, however, was his wife of 53 years, Judith. For over 5 decades they were nearly inseparable, and possessed a marriage and love that was envied by all that knew them. There was nothing like watching them dance together, and they could DANCE. He will always be remembered for his love of his family, music, and dancing. Bill also loved traveling with his wife and family, and was particularly fond of his winter home in Marco Island, Florida. He was also a huge supporter of New England sports, particularly Bobby Orr and the Big Bad Bruins.
Bill was proudest around his children and grandchildren. Nothing brought him more joy than being around his kids.He is survived by his wife Judith Vocino Daley, his son William F. Daley Jr. of Hanover, his son Michael V. Daley and his wife Jocelyn of Braintree, MA, his daughter Julianne Tilden and her husband Nathan Tilden of Hanover, his brother-in-law Michael Vocino Jr. of Hanover, and his sister-in-law Mary Breen Daley of Chelmsford MA. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren: Daley Jane, Dorothy, Danielle, and Jude William Tilden of Hanover, and Colvin and Cali Daley of Braintree MA.
