

Mr. William Robert Dunham, 81 of Halifax formerly of Rockland died after a long illness on Monday, November 29, 2010 at the South Shore Rehab and Skilled Care Center in Rockland with his loving and devoted wife Dorothy by his side. The son of the late William and Mary Marchelletta Dunham, he was born in Rockland on May 18, 1929. Bill served in the Navy during WWII and was later employed in the Maintenance Department at Whitman Hanson High School. He was a Class A bowler in the Rockland League, was a member of Tin Can Sailors, the Sons of Italy, loved all sports and going to his little home away from home in Florida for 15 years. He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy MacDonald Dunham; he was the brother of Merton "Buzz" Dunham of Duxbury, Richard Dunham of FL, Dr. Teresa Dunham of CA, Norma Gilmartin of Halifax and the late Betty Bourne and Barbara Castros. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St., at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in HANSON on Thursday from 3-7 PM. Service in the funeral home on Friday at 10 AM. Interment in Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson.
