
Mr. William J. Flynn Jr., 76 of Sandwich formerly of Hanover died Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Cape Cod Hospital. The son of the late William and Helen A. Kilgrew Flynn Sr. he was born in Rockland on March 13, 1933. Bill was raised and educated in Rockland and was a 1951 Graduate of Rockland High School. He served in the Navy for 4 years during the Korean War. Bill was a 1960 graduate of Boston College and a 1964 graduate of New England School of Law. He was Hanover's Town Council from 1968-1974 and had his own Law Practice in Hingham for many years. He was the State Representative for the 5th Plymouth District from 1974-1990. Bill was a member of the Plymouth County Bar Association, the VFW and the Holly Ridge Golf Club in Sandwich. He is survived by his wife Mary "Brenda" Flynn, 2 sons, William J. "BJ" Flynn III and his wife Jeanne of No. Easton and David G. Flynn and his wife Kim of Hanover, 1 daughter, Maryclare Flynn of Sandwich, 9 grandchildren and he was the brother of John J. Flynn of Rockland and the late Joseph and Robert Flynn. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte 53 in HANOVER on Sunday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass on Monday at 10 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte 139 in Hanover. Interment in Hanover Center Cemetery.
