

Bill Served in the Military as an Army Staff Sergeant Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division in combat during the Korean War. He was a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars serving as their post commander in Hanover, MA and their Post Chaplin. Bill was a Barbershop Quartet Singer in the South Shore Men of Harmony. He also loved sailing, oil painting, writing and publishing poetry, and bird watching. Bill served as Hanover Town Clerk for 6 years and was a Justice of the Peace. Bill and his late wife Claire Flynn were avid members of various Hanover Town Committees and Councils and lifelong parishioners at Saint Mary's Church.
Bill was the husband of the late Claire M. Flynn and is survived by James Watt of Mashpee, Don and Cathy Watt of Florida, Tim Flynn of Marshfield, the late Deborah Toronto-Pike, his grandchildren, and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington Street, Route 53, Hanover. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9 AM at Our Lady of the Angels Parish, 392 Hanover Street, Route 139, Hanover. Burial to follow at Hanover Center Cemetery.
