

William P. "Bill" Foley 86 of Pembroke formerly of Dorchester, passed away on July 15, 2016. Loving husband of Ruth H. (Walling) Foley. Son of the late Alfred F. and Mary A. (Mellett) Foley. Beloved brother-in-law of Pauline Walling, Walter "Butch" Walling and his wife Judy, and Ronald Walling. Pre-deceased by his siblings Margaret (Molloy) Roach, Mary (Molloy) Haskins, Alfred Foley, Jr., Catherine (Foley) Byrne, Dorothea Foley, Rita (Foley) O'Toole, and Robert P. Foley.
Bill proudly served his country for 18 years rising to the rank of Master Sgt. In the Army National Guard. A longtime employee of Sigma Instruments in Braintree, Bill was a lifelong Red Sox fan, loved bowling, and working as a member of a pit crew at New England Raceway in NH. Bill was active in the Holy Name Society at St. Peter's Church in Dorchester. As an animal lover, he was a longtime supporter of the ASPCA. A strong family man, Bill is lovingly remembered for his devotion and generosity to his siblings, 26 nieces and nephews, many friends, and his beloved dog Cinnamon who was by his side as he passed away.
Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington St. Rte. 53, HANOVER, on Friday from 4-7 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Thecla Church, 145 Washington St, Rte. 53, Pembroke, on Saturday at 10 AM followed by a burial at Pembroke Center Cemetery.
