

William J. Kane, Jr., 90, of Plant City Florida, passed away on October 10, 2017, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on May 10, 1927, in Weymouth MA, son of the late Alice B. Ford and William J Kane, Sr. William married Marianne R. Thomas in 1982. William had three children, Jennifer Ann Chacosky, Brian Ford, and Patrick William.
William served in the US Navy during World War II and was also a volunteer fireman at the Rockland, MA fire department. William worked many years for HP Hood, Pilgrim Marketing and was President of WMK Marketing, where he worked through his 80’s as his health allowed. While in Florida, he was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church where he was Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist and also attended St. Clement Catholic Church. William was a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.
He was preceded in death by his spouse of 29 years, Marianne T. Kane. William is survived by his brother, Robert L. Kane of Longwood, FL; children Brian F. (Stacey) Kane of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, Patrick W. (Linda) Kane of Plant City, FL and Jennifer A. (William) Chacosky of Newark, DE; and grandchildren, Logan R. Kane and Devin P. Kane, both of Plant City, and Katherine L. Kane of Rumson, NJ.
Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St in Rockland on Sunday from 2-5 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 AM in Holy Family Church, 403 Union St in Rockland.
