
Mrs. Ann P. (Stevens) Dakin, 81, of Pembroke, passed in her home on June 7. She was born in Boston on February 28, 1945, to the late Robert L. and Mary A. Stevens. She was raised in the Greater Boston area and attended school at Fontbonne Academy before spending almost 40 years as a pediatric nurse at South Shore Hospital. She lived in Pembroke for nearly 60 years, and was loved by her neighbors, friends, and many pets. She lived a quiet but social life, tending to her garden and its animals, painting ceramics, cooking and baking, and knitting blankets for others.
She was the wife of the late Norman A. Dakin, and is survived by one son, Dr. Christopher J. Dakin and his wife, Mandy of Pembroke; two brothers, Paul E. Stevens of Hull and Ronald L. Stevens of St. Augustine, FL; one granddaughter, Alexandra H. Dakin of Pembroke; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Robert P. Stevens.
Visiting hours are from 10am -12pm on Friday, June 12, and will be followed by a short service in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St., at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in Hanson. Burial at Center Cemetery, Pembroke.
