Lorraine M Lentini

Lorraine Lentini, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and the irreplaceable “Gigi” to those who loved her most, passed away peacefully at the age of 87. Born and raised in the vibrant North End of Boston, Lorraine carried with her the warmth, spirit, and heart of that community throughout her life.

Born Lorraine Ferrara, she built a beautiful life alongside her husband, Joseph Lentini, with whom she shared decades of love before his passing in 2005. Together, they raised a family rooted in togetherness, good food, and laughter—values Lorraine carried with her every single day.

Lorraine dedicated her professional life to special education, finding deep purpose and joy in serving children who needed her most. Her patience, creativity, and compassion made her a natural in the classroom, and those same gifts followed her into retirement. In her later years, she brought that spirit to her local senior center, where she led the choir, organized art projects, and produced shows that brought joy to her fellow seniors. Lorraine never stopped giving.

Her love for art and music was woven into everything she did, as was her passion for cooking. Those lucky enough to sit at her table will never forget her famous eggplant parmesan, stuffed peppers and artichokes, and legendary stuffing—recipes made not just with ingredients, but with love. Whether sharing stories, creating art, offering encouragement, or simply spending time together, she had a way of making each person in her life feel special, loved, and cherished.

For her grandchildren, some of life’s simplest moments became their most treasured memories—like sharing an afternoon cup of tea with Gram, each grandchild with their very own little tea set. For Lorraine, there was no greater pride or joy than watching her family grow through the generations.

Lorraine had a gift for living fully. She loved playing cards and socializing and was always up for a good yard sale—forever on the hunt for the next hidden treasure. She had a flair for beautiful, unique jewelry and was known for always being impeccably and elegantly dressed. She spent Friday nights out on the town with her daughters, turning ordinary evenings into adventures. She cherished her time with her companion, Angelo, and with the many friends and loved ones who filled her days with laughter, friendship, and purpose.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lentini Jr.; her beloved son, Joseph Lentini III; and her three brothers. She is survived by her three children, Denise Faherty, Maria Hall, and Domenic Lentini, and their spouses, John Faherty, Richard Hall, and Laurie Lentini; her four brothers; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren, who will carry her love, laughter, and legacy forward.

Mom, Sis, Gram, Gigi—your table will always be set, your stories will always be told, and your memory will forever live in the hearts of those who love you.

A Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of the Angels Parish (St. Mary's Church), 392 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA on August 19, 2026, at 9:00 am followed by burial at Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West Street, Braintree.
