Though her passing leaves a profound void, her family finds comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering, and that she was held close by loved ones in her final days.
Peggy was born in Boston, MA, the daughter of Elizabeth and Frederick Nash. From those early days in Cambridge to the many years she called Hanson home, Peggy lived a life rich with love, laughter, and adventure.
Those who knew Peggy knew a woman who embraced life fully. She found joy in the little things — a day at the beach with the sand between her toes, the crackle of a campfire on a family camping trip, the thrill of watching her beloved Red Sox battle it out on the diamond. She was an avid bowler, and anyone who ever shared a lane with her knew she brought both skill and spirit to the game. Travel called to her too, and she treasured every chance to explore new places, always eager to make memories with the people she loved most.
Peggy's caring nature extended well beyond her own family. For many years, she worked as a teaching assistant at Cardinal Cushing Centers in Hanover, MA, where she poured her patience, compassion, and gentle guidance into the lives of the students she worked with. It was there, as at home, that her natural instinct to nurture and support others shone through.
Above all, Peggy was devoted to her family. She leaves behind her husband, Dennis, her partner and companion through it all; her sister, Nancy Wheeler; her children, Timothy, Elizabeth, Dennis Jr., and Michael; and her cherished grandson, Declan, who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, each of whom she welcomed into her heart with the same warmth she gave her own children.
Peggy's memory will live on in every beach day, every camping trip, every Red Sox game, and every bowling night shared in her honor. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
Visiting hours will be held at Sullivan Funeral Home, 814 Indian Head Street, Hanson, MA, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM funeral Mass at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan Street, Hanson, MA. Burial will follow at Fern Hill Cemetery, High Street, Hanson, MA 02341.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes those wishing to honor Peggy's memory to consider a gesture that reflects something she loved — a day at the beach, a game of bowling, or cheering on the Red Sox — in celebration of a life well and fully lived.
