Pauline (Zangla) Donovan passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22nd after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her beloved husband, John Donovan, Jr, her children Erin, Colleen, and Christopher, sons-in-law Stephen Hull and Lou Sideropoulos, and her grandchildren, Alex, Luke, Zachary, John, and Grace. Pauline was born in Boston on June 17, 1942, and married her beloved, high school sweetheart. They spent 63 years in a loving, joyful marriage which was an inspiration to so many. Pauline and John spent more than thirty years engaged in helping married couples have meaningful and productive relationships through their work with Marriage Encounter. Pauline loved nothing more than to be with her family surrounded by laughter and conversation, often over a wonderful meal that she prepared. She was an excellent cook. She poured her heart into making a warm, beautiful, and inviting home for all those who entered. She was passionate about gardening and reading and enjoyed time with her many, dear friends. Pauline was the glue of our family and deeply loved by her husband, children, sons-in-law, grandchildren, grand-daughter-in-law, and friends. She lived a fruitful life and left us with a legacy of faith, family, and joy grounded in her Christian faith and values. She will be deeply missed.
