Caroline Jean Resor

Caroline Jean Resor, 70, of rural Grabill, Indiana, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, June 30, 2025. She was born on November 14, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Robert West and Lorraine (Hack) West Lyons.

Jean worked as an LPN in long-term nursing care. She enjoyed gardening and crafts. Jean loved watching old TV shows. She loved and adored her family. She especially enjoyed taking her grandchildren on nature walks looking for dinosaur bones. Anyone who knew Jean would say she was the life of the party. Jean was known to have a Diet Pepsi in one hand and a cigarette in the other. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Jean is survived by her husband, Stephen Resor of Grabill; her children, Jennifer (Justin) Krohn of Harlan, Indiana, Steve Resor of Angola, Indiana, Michele Resor and Tammy Resor, both of Fremont, Indiana; her grandchildren, Austin (Chelsey) Wood, Destiny Wood, Tristin (Hannah) Krohn, Dakotah Krohn, Connor Wueller, Cayden Wueller, Angel Bowen, Airka Bowen, Trey Resor, Madison Vaughn, Daman Resor, Drake (Chyanne) Jackson, and Kaylee Ladig; her great-grandchildren, Sophiah, Alivia, Carter, Silas, Storhm, Harper, Damen, Felixx, Mavis, Robbie, Lettie, Erin, BrayLynn, Aubrey, Oakley, Remington, Aaliyah, and Malakia; and her sister, Deborah Connelly of Naples, Florida.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Adam Bowen; her siblings, Jerry West and Vicky Odle; and her great-grandson, Alexander.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Hockemeyer Funeral Home, 17629 State Road 37, Harlan, with visitation one hour prior. A visitation will also be held on Monday, July 7, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Jean will be laid to rest at Harlan Memorial Cemetery, Harlan.
