Daniel Jay Kneubuhler, 76, of Woodburn, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. He was born on November 27, 1949, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of the late Donald Kneubuhler and Mary Woodruff.
Dan graduated from Woodlan High School in 1968 and went on to attend Purdue University before being drafted into the United States Army, where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.
Throughout his life, Dan was known for his strong work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and love of agriculture. He worked at BFGoodrich before pursuing his passion for farming and raising pigs. He later managed a sow unit for several years before becoming a restaurant owner.
Dan was a dedicated supporter of 4-H and took great pride in encouraging and mentoring young people involved in agriculture. Through his involvement with the Town and Country program and his many years supporting 4-H, he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and helping children develop their own passion for raising and showing livestock.
Even in retirement, Dan remained devoted to the things he loved most. He continued raising show pigs and rabbits for 4-H, finding great joy in caring for his animals and helping young exhibitors. He was fortunate to continue doing what he loved until the very end of his life.
Dan is survived by his children, Karen (Joe) Fox, Greg (Kim) Kneubuhler, and Kelly (Jose) Garcia; grandchildren, Brittnee (Matt) Cole, Collin (Mariah) Fox, Haley (Trevor) Love, Malory Fox, Carly Fox, Taylor Kneubuhler, Brooke Kneubuhler, Caleb Kneubuhler, Ema Garcia, and Joaquin Garcia; siblings, David (Sherry) Kneubuhler, Thomas (LuAnn) Kneubuhler, Denise Kneubuhler, and Pamela (Christopher) Gerardot; and the mother of his children, Loretta Baker.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
