

FRANK D. GARMAN, 78, left us on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at Summit City Nursing & Rehabilitation, Fort Wayne. Born in Leo, he worked in maintenance and retired from General Electric Fort Wayne in 2000. He served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years and was a Korean War veteran. He leaves behind his wife, Linda Garman of Harlan; daughters, Rhonda (Matt) Pfeiffer of New Haven and Christa Garman of Fort Wayne; son, Edward Garman of Woodburn; grandchildren, Lacey, Tiffini, Danielle, Ashley, Logan, Ashlee, Lucas, Laetner, Hannah, Madison, Emily, and Lindsey; three great-grandchildren; brother, Louis "Pete" (Ruth) Garman of Corunna. He was preceded in death by parents, Albert and Nellie (Clark) Garman; five brothers; and six sisters. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday at Hockemeyer Funeral Home, Harlan, with calling from 10 to 11 a.m. Pastor James Lindsey officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in Harlan Memorial Cemetery, with Military honors conducted by the U.S. Navy. Memorials to Summit City Nursing & Rehabilitation or Family Hospice.
