Stephen L. "Steve" Steinbacher, 70, of Grabill passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. Stephen was born May 30, 1952 in Fort Wayne, a son of the late Harvey and Lucille Steinbacher. He worked for more than 40 years at Lutheran Hospital in a number of different ways. In his free time, he loved to go fishing. He will be remembered as a very kind person and a regular at the Harlan Café. Surviving family include his siblings, William Steinbacher, Sharon Harter, and RoseAnn Hinkle; along with his beloved dog, Skeeter. A memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Hockemeyer Funeral Home, 17629 State Road 37, Harlan with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Countryside Church of Christ.
