Hi Aunt Sue.  I love you always!!  I'm so glad you and Mary came to visit me in Colorado.  It was so special to see you after all those years gone by.   I have awesome memories of coming to Chicago in the 1970s to stay.   I really had a great time.  That may have been the first time I had met you and Uncle Nick and Cousin Eric.  I'll be seeing you, dad, grandma Anne and Uncle Nick again sometime in the future.  Prayers to Eric and all of the family.  Love, MerriJo

Peaceful rest at long last!


I had the unique opportunity to spend a summer with my Aunt Sue, Uncle Nick and my favorite cousin Eric.  She was always fun and optimistic with a quick wit to turn anyone's dark cloud into a ray of sunshine.  I remember going to church with their family and how strong their voices were whenever it was time to sing a hymnal. 

My Aunt also was taking care of her mother who was in need of a caregiver.  She seemed to always have time for everyone.  A product of the society that used an Ice Box to keep things, she would go to the grocery store daily and had dinner ready when my Uncle got home from work. 

A great woman who was the epitome of dignity and respect.  I will miss her with a heavy heart.
