

Genaro was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He will be dearly missed.
Genaro served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was a Golden Gloves Boxer while stationed in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He later served in Weisbaden, Germany. After separating from the armed forces, Rocky began working for IBM and retired after 31 years as Senior Program Support representative in Tampa, Fl. He was an avid golfer at one time holding a handicap index of 4 and had 9 holes in one throughout his golfing years. He was a standing member at Tony Butler Golf Course and played with the 8:00 a.m. group for years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Gonzales and Dolores Gonzales Pinon; brother, Juan Huerta; sisters, Dolores, Luisa, and Aurora, and daughter, Dolores King.
Left to cherish his memory are, his children, Martha Rabbitt, Cindy Moore, David R. Gonzales, Raymond S. Gonzales, and John A. Gonzales; and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, beginning at 12:00 p.m. and will continue until 9 p.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to begin at 7 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at 10 a.m., at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, Texas.
