Gloria Villarreal

Gloria was born on April 5, 1957 in Harlingen, Texas and resided there all her life. She was a compassionate, loving, caring, and generous individual who had a passion for life and left us with wonderful memories. Gloria loved knitting, cooking, baking, making decorations, listening to music and dancing, but most importantly, she loved her family. Helping others was really important to her and making sure that everyone was taken care of. She would put others first before herself. She carried a beautiful smile and was a joy to be around with. Gloria will truly be missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Josefina Gonzalez.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving family, Crystal Villarreal (daughter), six brothers, Tony Jr. (Minerva) of Palmhurst, Jesse (Beatriz) of Harlingen, Isaac (Anita) of Harlingen, Joe of Harlingen, Robert (Vanessa) of San Benito, and Danny (Melissa) of Austin, Tx. Gloria has four sisters, Noemi Hernandez (David) of Edinburg, Mary Tiong (Allen) of Edinburg, Lupita Esqueda (Roy) of Palmhurst, and Josie of Harlingen. Nieces and nephews include, Jessica, Vanessa, Maritza, Christian, Veronica, Alex, Michael, Kristina, Lauren, Sebastian, Julian, Sofia, Robert Jr., Matthew, Scotty, and Daniella.

Pallbearers: Tony Gonzalez, Jesse Gonzalez, Isaac Gonzalez, Joe Gonzalez, Robert Gonzalez, and Danny Gonzalez.

Visitation is Friday, June 23, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with the rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel in Harlingen, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Harlingen, Texas. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, Texas.
