Helen Barton

Helen Barton, 93, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She lived in Laguna Vista, Texas until last year where she lived in Twin Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Victoria, Texas. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She brought laughter and joy to everyone she met. She has touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Barton.

She is survived by her two sons, Charlie (Pam) Barton and Jack Barton; her sister, Joyce Clemmons; and her brothers, Danny Akery and J.E. Akery. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cody Barton, Jayda Barton and James Barton.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 13, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel in Harlingen, Texas. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.

The family would like to thank the staff at Twin Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care that was given to our mother.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Cody Barton, James Barton, Jimmy Galloway, James Galloway, Benny Smith, Mike Nelms, Eddie Curry, and Robert Sirvillo.
