“Nena” loved flowers, her garden was her pride and joy, next to her family.

Mrs. Salazar is preceded in death by her husband, Celedonio Salazar. She is survived by her four children, Juanita A. Cavazos, Blanca I. Sanchez (Joel Rios), Rogelio “Roy” (Irene) Salazar, Judy S. (Dionicio) Castillo. Grandchildren, Eva J. (Armando) Garza, Laura Y. Cavazos, Johnny D. Cavazos, Monica L. Cavazos, Robert Lee (Jessica) Sanchez, Michael Sanchez, Anthony Salazar, Adrian Salazar, Dionicio (Lisa) Castillo III, and Alejandro Castillo. Great grandchildren; Kayla, Darian, and Alina Garza, and Lainey Sanchez; 3 sisters; and her dear nieces and nephews, Sandra, David and sons, Frank, Margie, Hugo, Ofelia, Angie and Pete Soto.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 beginning at 5:00 p.m. and will continue until 9:00 p.m., with recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel. Mass of Resurrection will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Harlingen, at 1:00 p.m.. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, La Feria, Texas

Honored to serve as Mrs. Salazar’s pallbearers with be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be David and Daniel Gomez. Special thanks to Alejandra Valdez, Paul and Gloria Gonzales, the visiting nurses from St. Judes and Kindred Hospice Care.
