Frankie Marie Cain Stroud

Mrs. Frankie Marie Cain Stroud, 75, of 195 Cranfill Rd., Harmony, died Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born in Yadkin County on April 14, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt Cain and Lois Johnson Cain. She retired as the cook at Jurney's Rest Home and was a life long member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and wife.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and best friend, Mrs. Dwight (Peggy) Galliher.

On August 2, 1958, she married Mr. Wendell Stroud who survives. Also surviving are a son, Eugene Stroud and his wife, Stephanie of Huntsville, Texas, a daughter, Donna Mitchell and her fiance' Cecil Privette of Statesville, two brothers, Thomas Ray Cain (Nancy) of Statesville and Robert Larry Cain of Hamptonville along with a sister, Sue Carol Earhart (Bill) of Pittsboro, N.C. Also surviving are grandchildren: Jennifer Leaird (Corey) of Statesville and Levi Stroud of Huntsville, Texas along with a great grandchild, Sadie Marie Leaird of Statesville.

Services celebrating Mrs. Stroud's life will be conducted at 11:00 Wednesday, April 23rd at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Bert Mathis and Rev. Bobby Henderson officiating. Pallbearers will be: Jim Ward, Mark Johnson, Jimmy Haynes, Dale Johnson, Bill Earhart, Randy Thomas, Jim Feimster and Jasper Wagnor. She will lie in state for thirty minutes at the church prior to the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at Reavis Funeral Home Of Harmony.
