Mr. Glenn Perry Campbell, 61, of 1058 E. Memorial Hwy., Harmony, died Monday June 10, 2013 at Duke University Hospital. Born in Iredell County on January 3, 1952, he was a son of Ralph Glen Campbell and Virginia Elizabeth Cartner Campbell, both of whom survive and are of Harmony. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Darnell Campbell. Glenn was a beloved son, father, brother, grandfather and uncle who will be truely missed. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. He was a volunteer for 22 years with the Harmony Volunteer Fire Department. He graduated from North Iredell High School. Glenn loved spending time with family and friends, serving his commnity, hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking.
On August 6, 1977 he married the former Sheila Dickens who survives. Also surviving are a son, Jeremiah Glen Campbell, a daughter, Joanna Elizabeth Campbell and a brother, David Lee Campbell all of Harmony along with one grandchild.
Services celebrationg Glenn's life will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Thursday June 13, 2013 at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. John Erwin and Rev. Randy Goodin officiating. He will lie in state at the church for thirty minutes prior to the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be retired and active volunteer firefighters. the family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 P.M. this evening (Wednesday) at the Reavis Funeral Home Of Harmony. At other times they will be assembled at the home of his parents at 711 E. Memorial Hwy., Harmony.
