

Mrs. Ina Lou Myers, 92, of 207 E. Houstonville Rd. Harmony, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday December 30, 2011 from Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born in Wilkes County on January 12, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Spurgeon Robert Savanna Myers and Nettie Harris Myers. Mrs. Myers was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and would do anything for anybody. She worked in the Harmony School Cafeteria and the Harmony Cafeteria. Mrs. Myers was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, canning and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by sons, Commie Lee Johnson, Jr. and Ray Johnson and a daughter, Sylvia Fox. She was also preceded in death by three husbands, Commie Lee Johnson who died in 1949, Mack Galliher who died in 1959 and Jessie Myers who died in 1974. She was also preceded in death by siblings: Dallas, James, Raymond, Luke, Silas, L.P., and John Myers and Dovie Holland and Zettie Tevepaugh.
Survivors include a son, Dale Galliher and his wife, Penny of Hiddenite and a daughter, Clara Jane Tomlin and her husband, Henry of Harmony. Also surviving are brothers, Paul Myers of Winston Salem and Commie Lee Myers of Harmony, along with grandchildren: Gina Johnson, Tandra Grant (John), Tammy Johnson, Kim McDaniels (Randy), Chris Teague, Heather Handy (Chris) and Joey Fox (Tiffany) and fourteen great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and her very special care giver, Debra Ikner.
Services celebrating Mrs. Myers' life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. today (Monday) at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. G. Carroll Jordan and Rev. Kenneth Sechler officiating. She will lie in state at the church for thirty minutes prior to the service and burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Gary Eller, John Grant, Adam Grant, Randy McDaniels, Richard Myers, David Galliher, Raeford Myers and Todd Galliher. The family will assemble at the residence of the deceased. Visitation was Sunday evening at Reavis Funeral Home Of Harmony from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M.
