Lutell Templeton Matthews

Born September 21, 1921 in Forsyth County, she was the daughter of the late John Dockery Templeton and Sallie Myrtle Isenhour Templeton.

Mrs. Matthews was a high school graduate, worked in textiles, loved to read and sew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers and sisters; her husband, Howard Matthews in 1992; one son, Harold Matthews, two grandsons, Dale and Craig Matthews, and two granddaughters, Sherene McKenna and Melissa Matthews Cass.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Luanna Trivette (Reece) and Dorothy Howard, all of Hamptonville and Jane McKenna of North Wilkesboro; one son, James Roger Matthews of Hamptonville; one brother, James Templeton; two sisters, Dorothy Sparks and Nancy Martin; two grandchildren, Michael and Jody Trivette and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Beulah Church 143 Union Grove Road Hamptonville, NC, with Rev. Jeff Moody and Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Trivette, Jody Trivette, Michael Tulbert, Jerry Davidson, J.T. Clonch and Zac Matthews.
