

She was born October 3, 1939 in Union County, worked in textiles, and was a member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pearlie Marie Steele; a twin sister, Margaret Rose, and a half-brother, Arvil.
Mrs. Shoffner enjoyed going to yard sales to find the bargains, working puzzles, her flowers, and canning in the summer. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Irene Hyder of Harmony, Ray (Denise) Stout of Olin, Betty (Gray) Driver of Harmony, Tammy (Billy) Shoffner of Mocksville and Michael (Kayla) Stout of Harmony. She is further survived by ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 24, 2014 from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM at the Ernest M Troutman Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be at 3:30 with Pastor Michael Harrell officiating. Burial will be at Sandy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
