
Born in Gaffney, South Carolina on March 26, 1927, she was the daughter of the late James W. Daniels and Celeste Walker Daniels.
Mrs. Blankenship graduated from Union Grove High School, worked in textiles and was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady M. Blankenship and a brother, James “Jim” Daniels.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Tony M. Blankenship of China Grove; her daughter, Kathy B. Hand, of Albuquerque, New Mexico and two grandsons, Jason Hand of Phoenix, Arizona and Darren Hand of Australia, one great-grandson, and one sister, Norma Dockery.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Harmony Cemetery with the Rev. James Beard, Pastor of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church on China Grove, officiating.
