Ruth Templeton Myers

She was a native of Iredell County, born Jan. 29, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Lee Parks Templeton and Frances Ward Templeton. Mrs. Myers had retired from J.P. Stevens.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: Raymond Templeton and Charlie Templeton, and two sisters: Stella Brown and Ester Johnson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Commie L. Myers. Also surviving is a son: Rayford Lee Myers and his wife Libby of Hamptonville, one brother: David Templeton (Joyce) of Harmony, one granddaughter: Tammy Goodin (Todd) of Harmony , two step grandchildren: Kim Holder and Ashley Loeser, and two great grandchildren: Tanner and Alli Goodin.

Funeral services celebrating Mrs. Myers life will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Ernest N. Troutman Memorial Chapel of Reavis Funeral Home of Harmony. The Revs. Randy Goodin and Bobby Jenkins will officiate. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening (Thursday) from 6-8:00pm at the Funeral Home.
