Alvin N. Nornhold, 79, of Swatara Twp., passed away Monday November 21, 2011 in the Community General Osteopathic Hospital. He was born February 22, 1932 in Hummelstown, PA, he was the son of the late Allen N. and Grace (Crater) Nornhold Sr.
He was a retired employee from Novinger’s, Harrisburg, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the Laborer’s Local Union 1180.
Surviving is a daughter, Bonnie Macumber, of Owego, NY; two grandsons; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Arlen N. Nornhold, of Harrisburg and James Nornhold, of Pittsburgh; and sister, Deanne Tolbert, of Harrisburg.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 11:00a.m. in the Neill Funeral Home Inc., 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Harrisburg.
