Mrs. Bernadine "Bunny" Gertrude (Ryan) Gautreau

Bernadine (Ryan) Gautreau, 90, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2019 at Hershey Medical Center surrounded by her family. Known by all those that knew and loved her as Bunny, she was born August 27, 1929 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of James and Sophia (Cameron) Ryan. In addition to her parents, she will be welcomed into heaven by her ten siblings, the love of her life Norman Gautreau, and all her family and friends who have gone before her. Bunny’s greatest joy in life was taking care of her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and is survived by her sons Norman (Mary) and James (Sue) and daughters Nancy Hanna and Barb (Jerry) Julian, grandchildren Norman, George, Ryan, Kimberly, Marie, Donnie, Christopher, and Heather; great-grandchildren Adriana, Kaci, Tyler, Andy, Evangeline, and Robbie and all their friends over the years that she “adopted” and cared for like her own. She was a devoted Catholic and was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Parish in Harrisburg. Funeral Services and burial will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania.
