Born July 19, 1925 in Dauphin, she was the daughter of the late Grant G. and Elizabeth A. (Baker) Greider; and preceded in death by her sister, Florence E. (Greider) White, and her brothers, Arthur, Charles, Irvin, Lester, James, Herbert, Sr., and Grant Greider.
Surviving is her sons, Earl C. “Chet” (Lisa) Fuhrman of Pittsburgh, Garry R. Fuhrman of Lemoyne, Larry J. Fuhrman of Harrisburg, and daughters, Donna L. Russell of Oklahoma, and Jayne L. (Allen) Archer of Harrisburg; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister Pauline (Paul) Rhen of Stony Creek.
Betty was a retired employee for the PA Department of Transportation. Betty was a member of the Women of the Moose in Middletown. In 2010, she was awarded the highest degree, College of Regents, where she received her red tassel and red stole. She loved attending weekly meetings with her friends and traveling to other states to attend the Annual International Convention. Betty was also a member of the Woman’s Auxiliary at the American Legion Post 998 in Lawnton.
Viewings will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 8, 2023 at the Neill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
