Constance Lorraine Benfer

She was born August 25, 1942, in York, Pennsylvania to the late Leroy P. Brenneman and Helen Henrietta Poff.

Connie is a graduate of Central York High School and served as a homemaker for much of her life. She was always an avid reader; even while enjoying a camping trip you could always find her with a book in her hand. Undoubtedly, Connie has read several thousand books in her time.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Ritch and two grandsons: Jake Nesbit and Eric Nesbit.

Connie is survived by her husband, Rodney Benfer and her children: Lisa Smithgall (Kent), Jeffrey Dellinger (Sonja), Roger Dellinger (Kathy), and Denise Dellinger; siblings: Donna Bennett and Richard Brenneman; grandchildren: Erin Rice (Michael), Sean Smithgall (Ashley), Elizabeth Dellinger, Autumn Acuna (Matthew), Greta Dellinger (Sophie Celeste Cogan); great-grandchildren: Nicky, Noah, and Liam Rice, Rosalie and Adelaide Smithgall, & Hunter, Cash and Grayson Acuna; close family friend, Bill Ferland.

A Memorial Service for Connie will be held Monday May 12, 2025, at 3pm at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St. Harrisburg, PA 17111. A visitation will begin at 2pm until the time of the service.
